The Ruislip Lido, to the west of Ruislip Common, is a large artificial lake so big it has a train to take you around - and it has a sandy beach for pretending that you're in the Mediterranean. Bask in the sun (and good luck with that) until 9pm. (Nearest tube station: Ruislip)
